SILVER LAKE — Thanks to Dan Gershon for sending in a photo of the new trees planted on West Silver Lake Drive next to the Silver Lake Reservoir.

Council District 13 said 33 Chinese Flame and Australian Willow trees were planted along a sun-baked portion of the reservoir walking path earlier this month in partnership with City Plants, the Los Angeles Beautification Team and the Los Angeles Conservation Corps.  The trees were planted in time for Saturday’s (Feb. 10) grand opening of the new walking path atop the South Dam of the Silver Lake Reservoir.
