East Hollywood fire breaks out in vacant apartment building

East Hollywood — A vacant East Hollywood apartment building that stood over the former Goody Goody restaurant burned early this morning.

Fire officials tweeted that the fire at 315 N. Vermont Ave. broke out before 6 am in the ground floor of the three-story brick building, next to the Metro station at Vermont Avenue and Beverly Boulevard.

It took 38 firefighters 28 minute to knock down the blaze. There were no injuries reported.
