On August 22nd, the Playhouse District Association hosts the 3rd Long Table event. Green Street at El Molino Avenue is closed and a long, beautifully decorated table is set.

A pre-dinner wine and cheese reception begins at 5 p.m., followed by a 4-course meal includes dishes from local restaurants such as Braise & Crumble, El Portal, Red White + Bluezz, Roy’s Hawaiian, Japon Bistro, and Urth Caffe.

Diners may watch as students and chefs of the Le Cordon Bleu prepare the vegetarian main entree and for one’s listening pleasure, a live jazz band will be performing.

Monopole Wine is responsible for the evening’s wines, which suits us just fine.

Ticket sales end on August 16th, but we suggest you don’t wait—the number of chairs is limited.

Wine and Cheese Reception

  • Enjoy a pre-dinner Artisan wine and cheese reception from 5pm – 6pm.

First Course

  • redwhite+bluezz: Appetizer – Mini Crab Cakes with apple herb slaw
    (Non-fish option will be available for guests who select the Vegetarian Entrée)

Second Course

  • Japon Bistro: Salad – Cold soba noodles with crisp kale & fresh shiso, served with a homemade sesame soy vinaigrette

Third Course
Entree options:

  • dusitD2 hotel constance pasadena: Chicken Main Entrée – Mary Roasted Chicken, a rosemary, garlic pepper, soy sauce and olive oil marinated chicken, brined for 5 hours, roasted with baby potatoes, served with sautéed garlic broccolini
  • El Portal Restaurant: Beef Main Entrée – Braised Boneless Short Rib over a nest of creamy herbed polenta brandy bordelaise sauce served with baked globe tomato filled with diced summer vegetables and fresh grilled asparagus
  • Le Cordon Blue: Vegetarian Main Entree – Summer Vegetable Tacos with black bean puree, mini patty pan squash, mini zucchini, fresh peas, and squash blossom. Served with roasted summer corn salad and avocado crema
  • Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine: Fish Main Entree – Misoyaki Butterfish with sizzling soy vinaigrette with baby bok choy and furikake rice

Fourth Course

  • Braise & Crumble: Dessert – a deliciously moist and flavorful lemon cupcake with rich raspberry icing

Wine & Refreshments

  • Monopole Wine: Wine – will provide a special wine selection for the summer culinary celebration
  • Urth Caffe: Iced Tea – savor a fresh and vibrant iced tea
