We’ve hit spring and that means one thing to me: poppies! A friend visited this past weekend and I pointed out with pride those bright flowers. The California Poppy is clearly the best state flower ever.

This Monday, April 6th, is officially California Poppy Day. I’ll have to come up with something fun to do to honor the occasion. Until then I’m sharing this photo, taken by my sister yesterday, and I’ll encourage you all to enjoy and appreciate all the beauty and joy these little orange flowers provide.
