To be named successor to the late Marvin Hamlisch of the Pasadena Symphony and Pops seems to have come as a surprise to “singer, pianist, and renowned interpreter of the American Songbook” Michael Feinstein. He also sees it as an honor.
His inaugural season begins this Saturday, June 1st. This “musical grab bag” of an evening, with Broadway show tunes to movies to the swinging pulse of the Rat Pack, will also feature guest artists Cheyenne Jackson and country music singer-songwriter Lari White.
Tickets are still available for all areas. Gates open at 5:30, so start planning your picnic.
