Bulgarini Brings in the Wine

Nov 19, 2014

Bulgarini Gelato and Wine PairingsLeo Bulgarini of the famous gelato, endorsed by none other than Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic Jonathan Gold, is bringing his irresistible Italian ice creams and pairing them with wine to benefit Literature for Life‘s fundraising party, kicking off the holiday season on December 7th.

Also for liquid refreshment will be “delectable” holiday punches, and for victuals, Jonathan Gold’s “lush” red beans and rice.

At Literature for Life we consider ourselves to be a new kind of beast: part online literary magazine, part educator’s resource center, part community salon. It’s our goal to bring writers, artists, and educators together to help ignite young minds with a love of reading, writing, and the visual arts. (Literature for Life)

The evening’s event will include a preview of Literature for Life’s Issue No. 3 with readings by local authors.

We’ve attended one of the organization’s events and Gold’s beans and rice are worth the cost admission, let alone the gelato and wine aspect, as well as the local literati—who are of the let’s talk, discuss, laugh, and toast variety (no snobby intelligentsia here).

Space is limited, so rsvp soon. Literature for Life has a fascinating mission and the organization is in its early stages; come eat, drink, and be merry—and find out if this is an interest where you could provide your support.

I think back over and over,
Where could this have gone right if only we’d made a different choice?,
but it’s a rathole that never ends the way I want it to.
