“Under a canopy of oaks…”

A lovely image, and under these oaks will be 32 artists exhibiting their works at Art on Palm in Altadena on Saturday, October 26th.

Kathleen Swaydan will have her paintings, Cassandra Tondro her ecoprints (steamed leaves against paper), Louise Wannier her textiles, and Anna Vosburg her original jewelry, to name just a few.

For artist Evan Chambers, “Copper, bronze, and glass are all materials that gain most of their value from labor, and I enjoy being the force who through working with and combining them elevates their value.”

“Art on Palm really does have something for everyone,” says Mary Jane Elgin, event co-founder. “Art on Palm promotes gifted local artists, rewards a loyal audience with fresh and unique work, and even raises funds for the Greater L.A. Fisher House.”

Greater L.A. Fisher House offers support and “comfort homes” for military members and their families while servicemen and women are hospitalized at the Westwood V.A.

Jones Coffee Roasters will be providing refreshments and live music will be performed by BULLFISH. Those two elements—plus the lure of the art as seen in the accompanying photos—should have you marking your calendar: Day Planned.
