A World All Its Own: Zorthian Ranch

Jun 28, 2015

During the Open Studios weekend at the beginning of June, we entered the world of Zorthian Ranch. That was 2½ hours that easily could’ve been all day. We imagine we looked like the 6-year-old feels walking into Disneyland for the first time—eyes wide, mouth agape, experiencing a bit of an out-of-body experience, giddy to the point of being incapable of speaking in full sentences. We had a marvelous time.

The best news of all? The main house, now renovated—2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, living room, dining room—is available through Air BnB for $175 a night: Zorthian Ranch/AirBnB.

  1. Wow! You saw all kinds of things I didn’t see. At a place like Zorthian Ranch, I imagine the reverse is true as well. It is a dream of creative abandon.

Thank you for letting us see this wonderful place! We spent hours looking at all the creative recyclable art. We enjoyed it with ahhhhh and oohs! I even got to feed the horse with an apple snack. What a beautiful way to spend the day.

  3. Kat Ward says:

Thank you, Margie. We were excited to share our images with readers, as we’d fallen for Zorthian Ranch, hard! Glad you were able to spend time there and enjoy it—and feed the horse!

  4. Kat Ward says:

So true, Petrea. Have you posted about it on Living Vicurously? Will have to check – would love to see it through your eyes.

  5. I haven’t posted about it yet. You beat me to it!
