It’s been a long, grueling 6 weeks. Competition has been fierce. Cocktails have been concocted and paired against one another. Seemingly harmless margaritas and sangrias have gone head-to-head.
Now, it all comes down to… the live taste-off.
Of course, we’re talking about Pasadena’s inaugural SIP-tember: a Celebration of the Cocktail. Sixty-four cocktails entered the arena and only one will be standing after the live competition finale at Paseo Colorado on Thursday, September 27th.
The lucky round of 16 are Bar 1886 at the Raymond, California Pizza Kitchen, El Cholo, El Portal, Gale’s Restaurant, Green Street Restaurant, Magnolia Lounge, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, the Tap Room at the Langham, and Toro Sushi. To peruse these competitors’ cocktails and vote (joining 1,173 cocktail lovers voting in the 2nd round), visit pasadenarestaurantweek.com. Voting for this 3rd round ends at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18th.
On Thursday, the 27th, the 4 finalist cocktails will be on hand for tasting from 4-7 p.m. Attendees can dilute the alcoholic bite with hors d’ouevres from Real Food Daily, El Cholo, Noor, Toro Sushi, and California Pizza Kitchen, just to name a few. Those still in attendance at the end of the event will be voting for Pasadena’s Cocktail of the Year 2012.
