Shopping for Easter Eats

Mar 20, 2017

Easter will be upon us quicker than we realize, so we’ve collected some Easter menus to make the day easier to navigate and leave more time for celebrating the resurrection or hunting for chocolate bunnies and painted eggs.

Julienne, one of our all-time favorite places to patron, is full of Easter yum:

Items ordered will be available for pick up in the Gourmet Market, April 14 & 15, after 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Easter Dinner for 4 ($145):
Herb crusted rack of lamb
Tarragon creamed pearl onions
Parsnip latke
Grilled asparagus
Gruyere popovers

Easter Brunch for 4 ($98):
Ham & asparagus strata
Deviled eggs
Fruit salad
Arugula salad
Mini scones and muffins
Smoked salmon terrine
Baguette crisps

If a full meal isn’t necessary, other options—available individually—include créme brûlée french toast, mango glazed ham, or chicken tarragon tart with parmesan. Desserts include lemon curd tartlets with candied violets, assorted Easter petit fours, and Grandma Jolly’s rhubarb meringue pie. For a festive bread addition, try Julienne’s twisted egg bread with colored eggs.

Don’t have time to buy and arrange flowers? Julienne offers a small or large bouquet ($22 or $35).

All orders must be prepaid and there’s a $50 minimum.

To place an order, please visit JulienneToGo.com. Or you can email the form (find here) to order@julienne.us or call 1.626.441.2299. Address: 2649 Mission St., San Marino 91108.

Julienne has fun Easter accessories, too…

Entrees include a spiced spiral cut ham or smoked and herb crusted prime rib with chimchurri.

For the dessert table, try Lincoln’s popular olive oil cake, vanilla cupcakes with raspberry rose buttercream or chocolate cupcakes with lavender buttercream, and decorated sable cookies (bunny, chick, or carrot).
