Scissors. Paper. Rock

Mar 23, 2016

When-the-Struggle-Becomes-a-Dance_Kate-CarvellasNo we have not received a hair cut, gotten a mini highlight or a keratin treatment. We haven’t bought Julie Hewett make up or Surface Haircare products. But we enjoy the concept of a hair and beauty salon that also sells locally made jewelry, attire, and accessories in a boutique and exhibits local artists’ work, including hosting an artist reception. And currently on exhibit at Scissors Paper Rock are paintings by Altadena painter and assemblage artist Kate Carvellas.

So since our hair is losing shape and getting too long, we’re looking to book a $65 basic haircut and as our eyebrows are becoming too light to see with the naked eye (and we can’t manage to pluck while wearing our glasses), we’ll be splurging for the eyebrow wax too ($25), and perhaps a bar of Sheba soap.
