Lori and Scott Webster, owners of the new Hoopla! in Altadena (formerly Webster’s Fine Stationary) are sharing not only their wedding photo but their story, in support of the White Satin Wedding Show coming in September.
Scheduled to appear and share their knowledge are Tobey Dodge of Wedding Connection who has personally coordinated 800 weddings and Stacy Nelson of Trash Lassies. Nelson became known on television and film sets for “her ability to deliver exceptional style using low cost materials, which looked to others to be boxes of trash.”
Dory of Marshmallow Couture will have her designs on view, Gerry Rothschild who’s an Altadena resident and an Emmy Award-winner for Best Sound in a Mini Series (Music Editor) will be performing with his band, and Serendipity Cupcakes of Pasadena will be on hand to deliver the sweets.
Pasadena resident, actor, and artist Kellye Nakahara Wallett will be exhibiting her work at the show. Kellye’s big moment in t.v. history is when she confronted Hawkeye about why he hit on every one of the nurses except her in the historic television series M*A*S*H. In the intervening years, Kellye has developed her passion for painting. Her collection, “The Gardens of Pasadena,” previewed at the Pacific Asia Museum and was attended by her co-actors Mike Farrell and William Christopher. Kellye’s master paintings are on indefinite loan to the City of Pasadena.
White Satin Wedding Show will be held at the clubhouse at Santa Anita Racetrack in Arcadia on Sunday, September 21st. More info as we get closer to the event.
