Los Angeles Jazz legend Buddy Collette died Sunday at Cedars Sinai Medical Center at the age of 89. Collette was a jazz saxophonist, flautist and band leader who fought for the rights of African American musicians. He was also integral to educating and supporting young Jazz musicians.
