Working the Imagination

Nov 4, 2013

Kidspace-IW_View-1“A space to assemble, dismantle, and repurpose all manner of materials and objects.” This is the purpose of Imagination Workshop at Kidspace, opening Saturday, November 9th.

Whether it’s a toy or a radio, electronic or mechanical device, new object or old, this resource will present children with limitless opportunity to discover the inner workings of everyday objects, as well as the principles that make them work.

“Children could be dismantling a radio during one visit, assembling a circuit board during another, or creating simple machines from spoons and clothespins during the next. This exhibit will inspire children to discover how the world around them fits together.” (Michael Shanklin, Kidspace’s CEO)

Kids are welcome to tinker around for a couple of hours or dive into a project for which they can return on a daily or weekly basis.
