Spring break for moms ‘n’ dads of young ones has a whole different meaning than spring break for college kids—it can trigger terror at the thought of long days to fill while work must be done. Enter Kidspace’s full- and half-day spring camps for kids ages 6 to 10. The emphasis is on the gee-whiz, with science experiments, art projects and games built around a week’s theme. Week One’s focus is Water Works, and Week Two’s is Superhero Bugs (like honeybees, which can lift 300 times their own body weight).

The week-long programs cost $400 for full-day and $150 for half-day; extended care is also available. As always, there’s a discount for members. And it all takes place at the museum in the upper Arroyo.
