Scavenger Hunt! & Parks After Dark

Jul 28, 2014

hold-a-scavenger-huntHey, teens: Ready to put down the cell phone, click off Netflix and Hulu, and stretch your legs and minds?

Teens age 11 to 17 are invited to a “truly epic” scavenger hunt at the Altadena Library on July 31st. Whether the hunt takes you scrambling around the library grounds or around stacks and shelves of books, all will be rewarded with a root beer float, though the winning team will also receive a coupon for a free In-and-Out burger.

Get back into that “group” think so necessary once school starts, and have some fun along the way…

Scavenger Hunt

One part of the past that has been hard to let go of is drive-in movies. We used to spend many an evening pulling up to the speaker, fidgeting to get it to hang “just right” on the half-raised window, then all of our family stretching out in the back of our beat up station wagon to watch a flick on a summer evening. Well in 2014, it’s no more drive-in, it’s hello “dive-in.”

Get a dive-in movie experience this summer at Robinson Park on August 2nd when Monsters vs Aliens will be screening at 7 p.m. Dive-in at Villa Park on August 1st will be Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, though if you want to be on dry land, Nacho Libre will be showing on Friday, July 31st.
