Putt-putting Around South Pasadena

Apr 9, 2010

Quiet, hidden and old-school, the Arroyo Seco Miniature Golf Course has more charm than a four-leaf clover. Tucked into the Arroyo on the edge of South Pasadena, this verdant golf complex includes a public 18-hole course, a par-3 course and the mini golf, which local kids have been frequenting since 1955. And at a mere $2 per person, it’s one of the best bargains in town. And even though a refurbishment is underway, we’ve never minded the shabby folksiness of the place. Also on the grounds are a driving range, putting green, pro shop and the no-frills Café Grill, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner until 7:30 p.m.

Birthday-party planners take note: This is a great and affordable spot for a fun, active, outdoor party.

1055 Lohman Lane, South Pasadena, 323.255.1506, 626.827.9992 (for parties), Daily 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m., weather permitting; $2 for 9 holes. $1.50 for replays.
