Actor, producer, director, and teacher Duffy Hudson will put on a one-man performance of Charles Dickens‘ “A Christmas Carol” on Thursday, December 6th at the South Pasadena Public Library. The blurb from the city says that “without the aid of props or costumes, Hudson will bring all 46 characters of this timeless classic to life.” That’s quite an undertaking; might be worth checking it  out just to see how he pulls it off…though if the two standing ovations after his performance as Edgar Allen Poe two years ago are any indicators, this could be a must see.

A Noise Within presents “A Christmas Carol,” adapted to the stage by Geoff Elliot and directed by him and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott.

For another interpretation of this holiday tale, the California Shakespeare Ensemble will be staging readings of the classic at the Boddy House, which will be decorated for the season. Seating is auditorium style and blankets will be on the floor at the front for young children. This is an edited version and appropriate for kids 7 years and older.
