We were checking in to see what was happening at the Southern California Children’s Museum on Los Robles just north of Colorado Boulevard. This location is now its permanent home after some time on South Lake Avenue—and though the folks are still in the process of completing all of the interactive exhibits, the doors are open.
One series to ponder is the Love Bug & Me Music classes, which was voted “Best Music Class” of Los Angeles by Red Tricycle, Mommy Poppins, and Hulafrog.
This spring series has a theme of “Down on the Farm” and is for babies and toddlers, ages 0 to 4. Parents, grandparents, nannies, and caregivers participate too. The “Magical Music Educators” of Love Bug & Me Music play guitar, ukulele, and the “big gathering drum.”
“We’ll play a mountain of instruments, dance with scarves, and have fun with puppets and parachutes… not to mention some surprises!”
This series is 10 weeks and space is limited, but folks new to the program are invited to try a class for free.
Registration fees run $220 for new students, $200 for returning kids, while additional siblings are $100.
This series begins at the SoCal Children’s Museum on April 10th and run for 45 minutes a session.
For different locations, Love Bug & Me classes may be found at
—The Cradle Company in Pasadena (classes begin April 13)
—The Family Room in San Marino (classes begin April 11)
