Legends & Fairytales, Roots & Shoots

Jun 11, 2017

We wish our summer camps had titles like this—”Myths, Legends & Fairies of the Forest.”

It’s just one of the one-week summer camp sessions at the Arboretum for kids age 5 to 11.

We apologize for being a bit late to the promotion party, but here is a listing of the remaining one-week, Monday through Friday, sessions:

Session 3: June 19-23 Symphony of the 5 Senses
Session 4: June 26-30 Investigating the Lifecycles of All Creatures
Session 5: July 10-14 Myths, Legends & Fairytales of the Forest
Session 6: July 17-21 Conservation & Preservation: How We Can Help!
Session 7: July 24-28 From the Tongva to Lucky Baldwin, It’s History Week
Session 8: July 31-August 4 Roots, Shoots, Flowers & Fruit
Session 9: August 7-11 International Week, Celebrating Diversity

Elias Jackson “Lucky” Baldwin supplied residents of the city of Arcadia with a combination of canyon and artesian water of such quality that a Los Angeles Herald reporter commented, “Why, if this God-given fluid were piped to Los Angeles and distributed to the city, the saloons would lose half their customers, and water drinking would become fashionable.”—
