It’s that time of year again, Charlie Brown. It’s the 17th annual Kidspace Pumpkin Festival, a two-day extravaganza with free performances and child-compelling activities available for a modestly priced ticket: a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses, handmade crafts, and face painting. Then your munchkins can choose their favorite item from the pumpkin patch and jump aboard the train that travels around the festival, showing off their prized holiday pumpkin. They can even partake in a costume parade.
Performers include: folkie-roots band the Hollow Trees; kid-pop star (and voice of Jimmy Neutron) Debi Derryberry; EGG; Gwendolyn & The Good Time Band; Happy Crowd; South Pasadena Strings Youth Orchestra; and the Radio Disney Road Crew.
Food vendors will be onsite: the Counter, Rubio’s, Robin’s BBQ, Garlic Jim’s pizza, Teri & Yaki and the Coffee Gallery.
In addition to welcoming fall and Halloween with this seasonal festival, the event helps replenish funds for Kidspace, one of the west’s best nonprofit children’s museum, where kids get to learn while they’re playing, or play while they’re learning—whatever way it goes, it’s a brilliant combination.
