Intergalactic Gala, Messy Mayhem, Painted Ladies & an Egg Hunt

Mar 27, 2017

Get ready for a busy April. Kidspace has events which if our child wasn’t a young woman and a freshman in college right now, we’d be lining up.

Daily: Caterpillar Adoption Days
Kids get to witness the magic of metamorphosis by adopting a Painted Lady Caterpillar, including food, adoption sheet, and instructions for care. The 21st Grand Butterfly Release is scheduled for April 22 & 23 when over 700 butterflies will be released into the wild. Learn more at 2017 Butterfly Season.

Tuesday, April 4th, 4-8 p.m.: Intergalactic Gala
Kids, dress up as your favorite science fiction character! Build your own spaceship! And, travel to the stars. Learn more at Free Family Nights.

Saturday, April 8th, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.: Celebrate National Health Day
National Health Day does not a fun day sound, but at Kidspace kids can join a bubble dance party and bust a move with the Kidspace fitness challenge, and even take home a tomato plant (while supplies last). Learn more at Kidspace Health Day.

Daily, April 10-14: Messy Mayhem Spring Camp
“In this fun and wacky camp, children will delve deep into the messiest of science experiments, nature investigations, art projects, and cooking creations. After creating their own bubble solution and forming human bubbles, painting themselves into living masterpieces, slipping around in homemade slime, cooking up ooey, gooey snacks, and exploring more messy mayhem, campers will come home excited and more curious about the world around them! Morning, afternoon, and full day sessions available.” Register online at kidspacemuseum.org.

Saturday & Sunday, April 15 & 16: Egg Hunt
Hundreds of candy-filled eggs will be hidden throughout the Arroyo Adventure and kids may learn the bunny hop, create spring art, and pet real bunnies. Registration for the hunt is required (and we recommend you do it asap). Times vary for hunts according to age. Learn more at Egg Hunt.

Saturday, April 29th, 9:30-11 a.m.: Garden Buds
Bring your budding botanists so they can learn how to plan, practice scientific observation, taste healthy snacks, and create art in nature. Learn more at Garden Buds.
