Celebrating a Physics Forest

Jul 8, 2013

The Robert & Mary Galvin Physics Forest at Kidspace opened a year ago, occupying 30,000 square feet with 13 interactive exhibits demonstrating the fundamental principle of physics—and Kidspace Museum is looking to celebrate.

“The Galvin Physics Forest was intended to engage children six years and older, but has proven to also appeal to younger visitors and adults…with explorations of such topics as conservation of energy, air pressure, and mechanical advantage,” says Mary Ann Viviano, Kidspace’s Director of Business Operations.

Each day will highlight a different aspect of physics with themed activities and demonstrations: Friday will focus on the physics of heroic action; Saturday, the physics of nature; and Sunday, the physics of creativity.

Friday, July 12th will have a live performance by kids entertainer Riff Rockit, while Saturday will offer a wildlife learning center and a local dance ensemble, and Sunday will have Radio Disney.
