At the end of each seven-week session, Art Center for Kids holds an open house and welcomes elementary and middle school students (grades 4–8) and their parents to come take a peek.
Sunday, April 1st, students will exhibit their completed works, and information will be available about upcoming classes, which are held on Sundays, from 1–4 p.m.
Art Center offers classes in animation through the use of storyboards, flip books, and the computer to “add expressions and emotions…music and sound effects”; architecture from
three different perspectives; making short films; cartooning; designing cars; fashion design—the list goes on and on.
During the summer, they also have family classes exploring portraiture, an artist’s scavenger hunt, and a workshop called “Wacky Tiny Creatures” that merges science with art.
Class size is kept small—no more than 15 students—to allow for more personal instruction and one-on-one attention.
Registration for the summer seven-week session is on May 21st.
