It’s time to admit it: Summer’s just around the corner. If you still haven’t signed junior up for a camp or activity, it is time to act!  Budding thespians and fans of the Bard will love Summer with Shakespeare, an intensive three-week program for kids ages 10 to 18 offered by Glendale’s A Noise Within classical repertory company.

This year’s theme is Shakespeare’s Modern Family — the camp will focus on the scenes and monologues that explore the complex relationships between parents and children, brothers and sisters, and other family members.

Participants will experience interactive classes on acting, improvisation, voice, speech, movement technique, textual analysis, stage combat and more. Led by professional faculty, the program’s sessions run Monday through Friday and culminate in a presentation of scenes from the plays of Shakespeare.
