Pine Boughs & Flowers

Dec 15, 2015

600px-Cone_and_hollyOne of the aspects of the holidays that charm and warm our heart is holiday decorations. Wreaths on front doors—from the classic pine boughs with pine cones, berries, and a red ribbon to more modern wreaths made out of ribbon stripes, hand cut paper leaves, balls of felt, wraps of bark, bunched burlap, thistle, kale, and pomegranates. Then, stepping inside homes for the holidays, relishing holiday garlands and arrangements that create magical and spirited moods.

Contribute to your own home’s holiday mood… there’s still time to sign up for “Flower Arranging: Pine Boughs and Flowers” at the Huntington, Saturday, December 19.

The design team of Flower Duet—sisters Casey Schwartz and Kit Wertz—leads a 2-hour workshop, teaching “how to work with floral elements including fresh pine boughs and flowers to create a bold floral statement for your holiday celebrations.”
