Does your lawn have forlorn patches of emptiness? Does your back patio need a little color and texture?
The California Native Plant Sale presented by the San Gabriel Mountains Chapter of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) can help you fill and enliven your yard and gardens this Saturday, November 9th, at the Eaton Canyon Nature Center.
CNPS members with experience growing native plants will be on hand to answer questions you may have and even aid in selection if you so desire.
The native and unusual native plants are said to be well-priced and wildflower seeds will also be available. The plants are specifically appropriate for growing in the Los Angeles Basin; attract birds, butterflies, and hummingbirds; and the majority are drought tolerant.
The plants on sale come from “high-quality local nurseries specializing in native plants,” as well as “plants propagated and grown by members.”
CNPS members do receive a discount, and membership may be acquired at the sale.
