Fed up with that itchy, rough Bermuda grass that you have to mow every weekend? Considering replacing it with a drought tolerant lawn?

The City of South Pasadena is offering free water wise landscaping workshops starting September 7th.

“Preparation and Design” will teach you how to remove grass and give your yard a makeover with colorful, water wise plants. Saturday, September 7th, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

“Water Wise Plants & Irrigation” offers information about a variety of water wise plants and how to irrigate them efficiently. Saturday, September 21st, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

“Backyard Composting” helps turn yard trimmings, and fruit and veggie scraps, into a healthy soil amendment. Thursday, October 10th, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Workshops will be held at the City of South Pasadena’s Council Chambers, 1414 Mission Street. RSVP and attend, and you’ll receive hand outs and a free, low-flow, adjustable hose nozzle. (An adult party favor!)
