Over $16,000 has been raised to purchase garden beds, a shed, compost bin, tools, hoses, potting tables, soil, and fruit trees.

The South Pasadena Community Garden mission:

Imagine a beautiful community garden that’s more than a garden…

  • A place that is a community center where people of all generations and cultures can learn about and participate in growing their own food
  • A place where people convene in the great outdoors to work with each other instead of sitting at home alone or behind a computer or smartphone
  • A place where language or ability or age does not determine involvement
  • Where there’s fun and opportunity for everyone
  • A true community space that breathes harmony, beauty, wellness, and learning.

The garden is open to all—though there is already a waiting list for plots—and is located at 1028 Magnolia Street (east of Meridian Ave.), South Pasadena 91030.
