Festive & Fashionable!

Dec 15, 2015

Decor2014_Hallway_web_WuWe are easily lured by the baubles and lights of the holiday season. Some may even call us suckers, but that’s too humbug for our merry mood, so we shall ho ho ho and prance along on our way.

One holiday event to which we shall prance is Pasadena Museum of History‘s holiday open house—”Festive and Fashionable!”—on December 19.

Guests will receive a mini tour of the Fenyes Mansion, which is decorated in all its Edwardian holiday grandeur, and the Finlandia Foundation will open the doors to the Tupa (Finnish Folk Art Museum) where guests may learn about early Finnish Christmas celebrations.

As this open house is a free event, guest may also browse the “Fabulous Fashion” exhibit. Come view exquisite vintage gowns and accessories from the 1890s, 1920s, and 1950s.

Additionally, guests—and kids too!—can partake in a clay ornament-making activity lead by Art2Go and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate courtesy of Caffe D’Amore. Ad Hoc Consort will provide live holiday music and the Museum store will be offering 20% off merchandise.
