Yard Lovin’ It

May 17, 2015

RMHCSCToys, furniture, electronics, clothing, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, bedding, holiday decorations, books, and movies…these are some of the items available for sale at “Yard Lovin’ It,” which benefits sick children and the family members who stay with them at the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House on May 23rd.

If a few closets, chests, or basements need to be cleaned out, donations will be accepted until Friday, May 22nd at 6 p.m.

Opened on Valentine’s Day in 2004, the Pasadena RMH is an 8-room Craftsman-style house that “serves families whose children are receiving treatment” as nearby hospitals and medical centers such as Huntington Hospital.

RMHCSC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and McDonald’s restaurants are our largest corporate donor. Portions of the annual operating costs for our Chapter are graciously funded by McDonald’s, and its local restaurant owner/operators. All RMHCSC programs including the six Ronald McDonald Houses, two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, four scholarship programs and the community grants board directly benefit from McDonald’s involvement. The remainder of our annual operating income comes from the generosity of individual and corporate donors. (
