Wine, food, jazz and fashion are the focus of this year’s big fundraiser for Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley. Called Style Uncorked, the party is happening Friday night at an undisclosed Pasadena location (buy a ticket and find out). Proceeds will fund myriad health education programs sponsored by PPPSGV for 23 local communities, with a focus on reproductive health, family planning and age-appropriate sex education.
But enough about sex — what’s to eat? Plenty, from the looks of it. Expect food from such hot Pasadena restaurants as Elements Kitchen, Gale’s, Red White + Bluezz and 1810 Argentinean and from such caterers as the Kitchen for Exploring Foods and the Spot.To drink with all that food will be some serious wines from Iron Stone, Coppola Family, Louis Latour, Antinori and more. A jazz quartet — Kenny Elliot, KT Tyler, Terry McConall and Tom Trujillo — will keep things swinging. As for the shopping, there’ll be clothing from Flutter, a chance to win jewelry from Timeless Gems, and a raft of auction items, from a week in a Park City condo to sports and concert tickets.
And, of course, you’ll find the company of some of the liveliest, smartest, most dedicated do-gooders in town. We wouldn’t miss it for the world.
