Sierra Madre Wine & Jazz Festival

Oct 2, 2010

Drinking wine coupled with fighting cancer—can you think of a better match than that? Drinking and dancing? Yep, there will be that, too.  It will be a triple date at the 5th annual Sierra Madre Wine & Jazz Walk benefiting City of Hope, one of the nation’s leading research and treatment centers for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. Sponsored by the historic San Antonio Winery, the event will offer tastes of award-winning wines, a mix of groovin’ jazz musicians and food from local eateries, including Gale’s RestaurantUgo’sBean TownRobin’s BBQ and Lucky Baldwins.

In addition to exploring local shops in ever-so-charming Sierra Madre, you can browse the silent auction and a Ferrari display, as well as enter the raffle. Tickets are $40 pre-sale and $50 on the day of the event; those seeking to explore the VIP Wine Garden and enjoy other perks (including extended drinking hours), can purchase the $75 VIP package. All donors masked as wine tasters will also receive a commemorative wine glass.

The event sounds like so much fun. Hoping for a sunny afternoon.
The painting/poster is so well done. Can you let me know who the artist is? (Cannot quite read the signature.)
