Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center

TumblrEmailOther Share Options

Established by a retired teacher and Quaker who saw the challenges faced by young, poor, isolated mothers in Northwest Pasadena, Mother’s Club is a lifeline for many local women. It combines a quality preschool for children with education and support for the mostly Latina moms, with classes in English, parenting skills, career planning, support for teen parents and more. The volunteer needs are many, from computer tutors for the moms to teacher’s assistants in the preschool. It’s a particularly good place for teenagers to volunteer.

  1. Thank you so much, Hometown Pasadena, for including Mothers’ Club on your wonderful blog! Just a note, the official name of our organization is Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center and we are no longer at the location on Orange Grove Blvd. Please visit our award-winning permanent facility at 980 N. Fair Oaks Ave. We conduct programs tours twice monthly. Please visit http://www.mothersclub.org for more information!
