The summer sunshine is lovely and there’s nothing like a good, long nap while working on a tan, but let’s be realistic: frequent exposure to the sun’s rays without proper precautions can lead to serious skin damage. The thing about skin cancer is that it’s quietly subversive, just waiting for the right, and usually most unexpected, moment to make itself known and wreak havoc. The Skin Cancer Foundation’s Road to Healthy Skin Tour (presented by AVEENO® and Rite Aid) will be stopping in Pasadena on August 14th offering free, full-body skin-cancer screenings as well as information sessions on the latest updates in skin cancer treatment performed by local dermatologists. Sunscreen samples, coupons and copies of Fitness magazine will also be given away.
