Simply Delicious Summer Fruit Crisp

Fruit Cup by MichelleIngredients:
3 cups chopped stone fruit—a variety of peaches, plums, nectarines, etc.
¼ cup flour
A few healthy shakes of cinnamon
1 cup raw oats
¼ cup packed brown sugar
A few pads of butter

Directions:
Mix fruit with flour. Spread out in baking pan. Sprinkle oats, then cinnamon, then brown sugar over top. Put 6-8 pads of butter on top. Bake at 350º for about 30 minutes.

Tips:
Local farmers markets are bursting with perfectly ripe stone fruits right now. Check with vendors for the “seconds” (i.e., not so pretty) pile of fruit. I bought these gorgeous little guys for only 80 cents per pound from Fresno’s K&K Farms (PHS Farmers’ Market every Saturday. Since the fruit is chopped and cooked anyway, what’s a few soft spots?

And in case you’re wondering, this tastes even better than it looks.
