Whisky & Poetry

Jul 2, 2014

549215_470194619702324_1857227627_nWe’ve written and raved about this event before, but we’re here to do it again because if even one cell of yours enjoys poetry and whisky, in any and all combinations, even the most fleeting interest, or even mere admiration, then you must attend Kim Ohanneson and Karolyn Kiisel’s increasingly popular Whisky & Poetry Salon.

Thursday, July 10th, after climbing six floors—be prepared, though Kim will provide a “spirit stop” on the third floor landing—enjoy the views from the penthouse loft, wonderful nosh, and a lovely candlelit sitting area where poetry is read and whisky consumed.

Our cheeky whisky ambassador Johnnie “the Scot” Mundell will dispense fine, single malt Scotch and school us on how best to appreciate it.

Doors open at 7 p.m. with “lite bites,” and the evening commences at 7:30.

Special guest: Traci Akemi Kato-Kiriyama. She is an interdisciplinary artist, an arts producer, a playwright and a community organizer” who is the founder of the Tuesday Night Cafe Project.
