There are a lot of important stories to tell about Manzanar, one of the ten camps where Japanese-Americans were imprisoned during WWII. Here’s one not many people may know about: The Manzanar Fishing Club, a documentary about a group of inmates who snuck out of the camp at night to fish the streams of the Sierra Nevada and bring fresh trout to the other internees. It’s playing in a very limited engagement this weekend at the Laemmle this weekend. Go see it.
