The Levitt is Open

Jun 22, 2010

Music is everywhere. The latest movement to grace the summer soundscape is the beginning of the Levitt Pavilion’s free concert series, which starts this Wednesday with puppets. That’s for kids, though—at least it’s supposed to be. The “grown-up” entertainment begins Thursday with Dan Navarro & Stonehoney, a folk/country/rock outfit with a great reputation for live shows. Friday is Sarazino, the brainchild of Lamine Fellah, a singer/songwriter/producer with an abiding interest in reggae, Latin and African grooves, coupled with Arabic music and international pop. Saturday is Perla Batalla, a Grammy-nominated vocalist best known for her album Mestiza. Last but not least, Sunday features the vocal stylings jazz great Barbara Morrison, who also performed at Make Music Pasadena. Better get your ears ready—and this is just the first week!
