The Milestone Theatre Company is nearing its third birthday. Founded in the fall of 2007 by restless PCC theater students, The Milestone has grown into a community of dozens of local artists. Their latest production is The Laramie Project, by Moisés Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theater Project. It is the true story of the TTP, a company of actors who ventured to Laramie, Wyoming in the aftermath of the murder of Matthew Shepard—everything that happens on stage is pulled from interviews with town’s people, journal entries and other found texts. Proceeds from the production, which opened last Friday and runs through August 1st, will go to PFLAG and the AIDs Service Center.
