The Pasadena Ballroom Dance Association celebrates the Dog Days of Summer on August 9th with a “blue” themed night (as in color of clothing) with the sounds of Lost Dog Found from San Francisco.

Stevie Mac and Chris Hudlow are friends from childhood in Sebastopol. Mac writes original work and “fiddles with songs that put a modern twist on soul, swing, and jump blues tunes” (Lost Dog Found). “It’s part Ray Charles, party Bruno Mars, part Brian Setzer Orchestra…and extremely danceable.”

With Mac on guitar and Hudlow the lead vocalist and tenor sax, Lost Dog Found is rounded out with trumpets, a bass, and more sax.

Swing lessons will be offered from 7:30 to 8 p.m. and the band will groove from 8 until 11:30 p.m. The evening will include snacks and thirst quenchers, door prizes, and blue trivia.
