Swinging at Heritage Square

Jun 20, 2009

heritagesquareconcertOn Tuesday Dennis Kay and the Pasadena City College Swing Band are putting on a free concert as part of the Concerts at the Square series at the Heritage Square Museum. Located just off the 110 Freeway south of Pasadena, Heritage Square is a remarkable museum-as-neighborhood, made up of restored and not-quite-restored homes and buildings from the Civil War era to the early 20th century.

The PCC Swing Band, comprising students, faculty and staff, will play big-band standards and swing classics. There’ll be affordable food from local vendors, or you can bring your own picnic supper. Heritage Square is right off the Gold Line, making this an easy on-the-way-home-from-work event for commuters.

PCC Swing Band – Concerts at the Square
Tues., June 23, 5 – 8 p.m.
Heritage Square Museum
3800 Homer St., Highland Park,

  1. So sorry everyone – there was a typo on the information the museum sent out. The concert, which is still free and is still with the PCC Swing band, will be July 23, not June 23. BUT we still want to see you there! Check the website for any updates.
