Swing to Big Butter

Mar 15, 2016

Big as in big bands. Listening to the horns and saxophone or the harmony of Doo Wop singers feels like Benny Goodman or The Five Satins reincarnated.

On March 18, PBDA holds its once-a-month ballroom dance event with a freestyle foxtrot lesson from 7:30-8 p.m., followed by a “DJ’d variety of ballroom sounds” from 8-10 p.m. The $15 cover price includes the foxtrot lesson, snacks, refreshments, and door prizes.

Pete Jacobs comes with his 16-piece big band as well as three female vocalists singing songs from the forties and fifties. Men are encouraged to wear bow ties and ladies, don your best Easter bonnet! Entry: $20.
