Roy Zimmerman is a singer, songwriter, and political satirist. The tagline on his website is “Funny Songs about Ignorance, War and Greed,” which is a pretty good tagline aside from that missing Oxford comma. He’s popular on the YouTube, where his videos have accumulated a few million page views (then again, so has this). He’s sort of a modern day Tom Lehrer, though perhaps a tad more confrontational in his politics, which tilt towards the “Peace and Social Justice” end of the plane—a natural fit for the Coffee Gallery, where he’ll be playing this Thursday.
