Reconstructions & No Restraint

Sep 3, 2017

Two artists who have works currently on exhibit at the Irvine Fine Arts Center’s ALL MEDIA exhibit (read story here), also have work at current and upcoming local shows…

Currently:

Holly Boruck’s Surrogate Gallery Projects presents its next exhibit “Reconstructions” at Charles White Gallery at Eliot Arts Magnet School, 2184 Lake Ave., Pasadena. Gallery hours: Fridays through November 3rd, 3-5 p.m. For more details, please visit Surrogate-Gallery-Projects.com.

About “Reconstructions”:

There is a system, or language, for every art form; words, musical notes, dance movements, color & line, etc. In the visual arts, the elements and principals of shape, color, line, value, rhythm, pattern, scale, texture, space, form and perspective are used in infinite combinations to create and communicate. This exhibition will focus on analyzing the artworks of five artists, breaking them down into visual elements, and then reconstructing those elements into wholly new abstract artworks.
