Fall is in the air, heat be damned, which means it’s time for Pasadena to get all Craftsmany. It’s a mere two weeks until Pasadena Heritage‘s Craftsman Weekend, which attracts Arts & Crafts fans from all over the country. Because two of the many events over the three-day weekend are already sold out (both involving the Blacker House), we’re sending out the warning: Get your tickets now, or be prepared to miss out.
Number one with a bullet on our list is the bus tour of Pasadena’s bungalow courts, culminating with a celebration at Gartz Court, but that’s because we are crazy for bungalow courts. Your boat might be better floated by the walking tours of Oaklawn or Garfield Heights; the get-outta-Pasadena tour of Craftsman homes in L.A.’s West Adams district; or the Sunday tour of six landmark Arts & Crafts homes in Pasadena and Altadena.
And there’s lots more: To explore it all, go to pasadenaheritage.org.
