If you are one of the many who are not inclined to actually wake up to watch the Rose Parade, but still want to see the floats, and perhaps even walk around them, here’s what you need to know: As usual, floats can be seen at the end of the parade route on Sierra Madre Boulevard, near Pasadena High School. Unless you are 5 years of age or younger, you will require a ticket, which costs money.
Parking is extremely limited (read: a mess), so using one of the three park & ride locations (the Rose Bowl, PCC, and the Community Education Center) may be more convenient. A roundtrip shuttle ticket is $3. Worth mentioning: Seniors and disabled visitors can show up two hours early on the 2nd and have the viewing grounds to themselves.
