Or, in real words, the Pasadena Master Chorale will be hosting the Cornell Glee Club this Sunday. The PMC will open with performances of the “Introit” and “Kyrie” from Mozart’s Requiem (the PMC is all about the Requiem this month, it seems), to be followed by the CGC and their multi-cultural choral repertoire: American folk music, the greatest hits of the European Renaissance, original a cappella pop arrangements, and so on. Andy Bernard may or may not make an appearance. The CGC is evidently one of the finest in the country; the Washington Post called them “virtuosic,”—high praise indeed. An odd pairing, the Requiem and a Glee Club grab bag, but why not?
