Pasadena Showcase House

Watercolor rendition of the Cravens Estate

One of the largest and oldest house and garden tours in the country, Pasadena Showcase House of Design is an annual fundraiser disguised as a month-long celebration of an historic property. This year that property is the Cravens Estate, an official Pasadena Cultural Landmark as well as a Landmark of Historical Significance. In addition to house and garden tours, the 20,000-square-foot estate will host the Shops at Showcase — linens, clothes, accessories, and gourmet foods from 30+ vendors — as well as the Restaurant and Bar at Showcase, catered by Wolfgang Puck’s company.

Located on Millionaire’s Row, the estate now hosts banquets and serves as the headquarters of the San Gabriel Pomona Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross. The Showcase runs April 18 – May 16, but advance ticket sales begin this Tuesday. The event’s 40,000 annual visitors will be funding a variety of musical arts organizations, from the LA Phil and the LA Opera down to local high school bands and musical therapy programs. A big house for a big cause.
