No, not that Glee, but another, better, finer Glee. Among the finest, in fact: the University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club, older than dirt (since 1859) and considered one of the best men’s choirs in the world. As part of their 150th Anniversary Tour, they’ll be appearing at Pasadena Presbyterian alongside the newest sub-choir of the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, the Young Men’s Ensemble (“for boys with changing voices”). The program will include works by Copland and Kurt Bestor, among others. A rare opportunity to see the Men separated from the Young Men — but in a good way.
